A special programme segment of FriForma is Kino-uho / FriForma, developed in collaboration with Slovene Cinematheque, which creates an interdisciplinary bridge between silent films and contemporary sound practices. Within this collaboration we explore the relationship between filmic archaics and contemporary sonic experimentation, testing new forms of live cinematic experience in which silent film projections meet live sonic interpretation.

The commissioned musicians who are invited to take part in Kino-uho / FriForma are coming from the younger generation of Slovenian artists working with sounds, either with academic, or self-thought background.
