Concert series FriForma provides a platform for experimental sound practices, such as non-idiomatic electroacoustic improvised music, experimental electronic music, and free jazz. The curated programme encompasses a wide range of conceptual approaches and supports the development of marginal musical practices that less frequently reach wider audiences in Slovenia, yet hold significant potential for the development of the local contemporary music scene and its international visibility.

In addition to concert activities, the series also includes the production and publication of audio recordings, the organization of international guest performances, presentations, and lectures. An important part of the programme is the systematic documentation and archiving of events in an audio and video archive on Vimeo.

One of the keys aims of the series is to foster collaborations between established international artists and emerging Slovenian musicians. Since 2018, these collaborations have also taken a more permanent form through music releases published by Inexhaustible Editions' sublabel Edition FriForma, which primarily focuses on recordings by Slovenian musicians performing in international collaborations.

The event series take place in several Slovenian cities — primarily in Ljubljana, and occasionally also in Celje, Maribor, Lendava, and Škofja Loka — and are developed in collaboration with numerous non-governmental organizations and institutional partners.
